Be The Hands & Feet Of Jesus

Volunteering in the church is something no-one should miss out on. This is where we become part of the church community, build lasting friendships and get the privilege of being the Hands and Feet of Jesus.

There is something for everyone to do and something for everyone to enjoy. Seek and you shall find. Let’s make a difference together.

We encourage everyone to learn the mission of our church, get excited about it and join in.  Our church slogan at Agape Christian Fellowship  is "Transforming Lives!!"

Obviously God and His Holy Spirit do the transformation of lives. But He wants each of us to contribute.  Every act of service helps us achieve our goal.

God wants our Hands and Feet in action.

Jesus gave us an example to follow.

Together we can help transform lives for the Kingdom of God.

There are countless ways for each person to get involved.

1. Welcome Committee - welcome people as they arrive at church, learn the names of newcomers and get to know them and help late arrivers find a seat
2. Hospitality - set up and clean up for fellowship times and potlucks
3. Maintenance - repairs as needed to the church facility and equipment
4. Gardening - upkeep of the church garden and parking lot
5. Stock the Kitchen - purchasing of kitchen and cleaning supplies as needed
6. Visitation - visit the sick in their homes
7. Count The Offering - 2 people needed after church on Sunday
8. Sound Board - controlling the sound board for church services
9. Church Slides - doing the church slides for announcements and song lyrics
10. Teachers - for Spanish Sunday School
11. Musicians and Vocalists - for worship music in the church service
12. Writers - contribute to our weekly blog post
13. Pot Luck Hosting - for church pot lucks in the homes of members
14. Food Bank Ministry - Bilingual or Spanish speaking persons to deliver food hampers to needy families monthly.  Also to pick up community donations and pack the food hampers.
15. Social Media - help with FB page, website and graphic design
16. Video the Church Service - record and upload to our YouTube page
17. Leaders of the Volunteers - seek out volunteers, get phone numbers of volunteers, schedule volunteers, facilitate communication and feedback

It really is simple.  Pick an area of service in which you would like to volunteer and we will help you get settled in.  If you are not sure of what to do, then ask someone for suggestions.

All of our Service Opportunities require more then one person. This is especially true because we are a church where many in our congregation are seasonal; and also because people go on vacation or sadly get sick.

Speak with our pastor about where you want to get involved.  He is very easy to talk to and will be excited to have more help.

At Agape, our volunteers know that we are all called by God to serve, so they joyfully give of their time and talents for which God blesses them in return.

We are extremely grateful to all of the volunteers who help keep the ministry wheels in motion at Agape.  The smooth running of any church is highly dependant on many happy volunteers.

We are all the Hands and Feet of Jesus in our church and in our community.
